Red Meat (Beef, Lamb, Pork, Venison, Kangaroo, etc.)

  • Shelf Life: 3-5 days
  • Notes: Store in airtight containers or vacuum-sealed packaging to maximise freshness.

Poultry (Chicken, Turkey, Duck, etc.)

  • Shelf Life: 1-2 days
  • Notes: Poultry spoils faster due to its higher moisture content. Ensure it’s kept in a sealed container to prevent contamination and minimise exposure to air.

Fish (Salmon, Tuna, etc.)

  • Shelf Life: 1-2 days
  • Notes: Fish is highly perishable. Store it on ice or in the coldest part of your fridge to maintain freshness. If it smells strongly “fishy” or feels slimy, it’s likely spoiled.

General Storage Tips

  • Packaging: Keep proteins in their original packaging if sealed, or re-wrap tightly with cling film or freezer paper.
  • Fridge Placement: Store raw proteins on the lowest shelf to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Freezing: Freeze proteins if you can’t use them within the recommended time frames. Label with the date before freezing.
  • Check Freshness: Discard proteins that develop an off smell, slimy texture, or discoloration.

We offer Local Delivery every Wednesday and Friday for orders within 0km - 50km from DH HQ. These orders will be picked up from DH HQ from 2:00PM Thursdays & Fridays.

Balanced Raw Food Blend for Puppies

My puppie is damn fussy! He refuses to eat some mornings but when I put it in his Kong he GOBBLES it all up! He loves his raw food and it is so versatile that you don’t have to serve it in a bowl or lick or Matt for those fussy puppers!
It’s also great knowing my puppy is getting the nutrients he should be while he is growing. Great service, great price (saves me spending a whole day prepping for him along with the mess!)
