Shipping policy

Delivery & Pickup schedule:

  • Our store is open Tuesday through to Sunday.
  • Orders are usually ready within 2-3 business days from when the order was placed.
  • Dog Birthday Cakes require a 24 hour notice. 

For all “In Store Pickup" Orders:

  • You will receive an email confirmation as to when your order is ready for in store collection. Please wait for this notification before coming to the store for pick up.
  • Orders placed for Wednesday pickup will be ready after 2pm - however please wait for your pickup confirmation as we are unable to give you an exact timeframe. We are unable to process Wednesday morning orders for collection.
  • If you do not specify a date for collection or delivery, we will assume you are waiting to pick up within 24 hours 

Delivery

We offer two types of delivery:

  1. Local Delivery - for all meat products & birthday cakes
  2. Australia Post - for all other products (for example, but not limited to; toys, apparel, grooming supplies etc)

1. Local Delivery:

How much does delivery cost?

  • 0km - 25km from DH HQ - $10
  • 25km - 50km from DH HQ - $20

How does Local Delivery work?
0km - 50km

  • Local Deliveries for orders up to 50km away from DH HQ will be completed on a Thursday and Friday.
  • Deliveries will leave DH HQ @ 12pm Thursday and Friday
  • Our store is not open on Monday, therefore no orders placed will be received by us until Thursday.
  • Delivery days will be allocated based on delivery zones to help us group and streamline orders efficiently.
    • For example: If you place an order on Wednesday and you’re located in Werribee, but the majority of Thursday deliveries are going to the Eastern suburbs, your order will be scheduled for Friday delivery instead.
  • In cases where we experience an extremely high volume of orders, we’ll get in touch to let you know that your delivery may need to be rescheduled for Saturday.


Terms for Local Delivery
By selecting Local Delivery, you are agreeing that you will be home to sign for your order or agreeing that it can be left unattended. Doghouse Cafe will take no responsibility for orders that are left unattended. We cannot confirm that your order will stay cold if it is left outside, please make all efforts to collect your order within 1 hour or less especially on a hot day.

Do you offer Local Delivery orders on public holidays?
Local Deliveries will not be sent on Public Holidays.


2. Australia Post Deliveries:

$10 shipping

How long does it take for orders via Australia Post to arrive?
Items sent by Australia Post can take up to 2 weeks to arrive.*

Can I order raw food for my dog online to be shipped via Australia Post?
Australia Post shipping is not available for Raw Dog Food or Birthday Cakes. 

Do you deliver outside of Australia?
We do not currently ship outside of Australia.

Doghouse Cafe are not responsible for any item damaged by Australia Post during the shipping process.
