COVID-19 Update

Covid-19 update - 17th August 2021

Due to the ongoing outbreak of locally acquired cases in Melbourne, the Premier announced that the current lockdown will be extended by 2 weeks, expected to end on Thursday 2 September.

From midnight Monday 16 August, new restrictions are also now in place including a 9.00pm to 5.00am curfew; the closure of playgrounds, skateparks, outdoor gym equipment and basketball courts; restrictions on construction sites and the reintroduction of permits for authorised workers.

There are still only 5 reasons to leave home - shopping for essential items, care giving or receiving care, exercise for up to two hours, authorised work or education, and to get vaccinated or tested at the nearest possible location.

We are still open.

Victoria's State Government has classified pet stores as an essential service, which means Doghouse Dog Cafe will remain open during this latest lockdown.

Our In-store pet shop will be operating as per normal - however the cafe side of the business will be closed. That said, there are a few changes to our upcoming schedule:

  • Upcoming Breed Meet-ups have been postponed
  • All Upcoming Bookings for our outdoor space will be cancelled or postponed
  • Online Bookings for birthday parties & the cafe have been disabled online until further notice.
  • Trading hours have changed on the weekend. Saturday, Sunday open 10am - 3pm until further notice.

If you did have any upcoming bookings a member of our team will be in contact with you to either arrange a refund or advise on next steps.

Online ordering is operating as per normal.
We are still delivery online orders as normal.

We’d like to thank you for your ongoing support. As a small business, we’re genuinely grateful.

Stay safe - and give your dog an extra treat for us!

Regards,
The Doghouse Dog Cafe Team
